HEV ELISA Kits
HEV IgM ELISA, HEV IgG ELISA and HEV antigen ELISA kits are supplied, which are intended to be used to detect IgM, IgG specific to Hepatitis-E virus and HEV antigen respectively in human serum specimen.
HEV ELISA Kits
Atlas Link Technology Co., Ltd supplies several HEV ELISA kits, including HEV IgM ELISA, HEV IgG ELISA and HEV antigen ELISA kits, which are enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits, intended to be used to detect HEV IgM antibody, HEV IgG antibody and HEV antigen respectively in human serum specimen, and can be used in mass blood screening settings, such as hospital laboratories, blood banks; and also can be used in the diagnosis of Hepatitis-E virus infection.
HEV EIA Kits: Testing Principles
Different testing principles are adopted in these HEV ELISA kits. The HEV IgM ELISA is a two-step incubation, solid phase antibody capture ELISA assay; the HEV IgG ELISA employs solid phase, indirect ELISA method for detection of IgG class antibodies to HEV (anti-HEV) in two-step incubation procedure; while the HEV Antigen ELISA kit is a two-step Incubation, Double Antibody "Sandwich" assay.
Hepatitis-E Disease
Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is a non-enveloped, single-stranded RNA virus. Four genotypes of HEV have been reported. HEV is transmitted mainly by fecal contaminated water and food. HEV infections, endemic and frequently epidemic in developing countries, is seen also in developed countries in a sporadic form with or without a history of traveling to endemic area.
With the discovery of conformational epitopes in HEV, HEV serology was further explored and understood. The phenomenon of long-lasting and protective antibodies to HEV was observed which greatly enhance the understanding to the diagnosis, epidemiology, zoonosis-related studies and vaccine development.
