ssDNA IgG Dot Filtration Assay Kit
ssDNA IgG Dot test kit is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Intended Use
ssDNA IgG Dot filtration test kit is an immunoassay based on the principle of Gold Filtration immune Assay principle, intended for the qualitative detection of IgG antibody specific to Single-Strand DNA (ss-DNA) in human serum, and intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
ssDNA IgG
Antibodies to single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) also have a correlation with the SLE cased. The ssDNA is found with a frequency of up to 87% during acute phases and 43% during inactive phases in patients with SLE. As anti-ssDNA antibodies are found with a frequency of up to 50% in patients with a drug-induced SLE. The determination of antibodies against ssDNA, together with other test such as dsDNA testing, may be helpful for the differential diagnosis.
ssDNA, not a Specific Indicator of SLE
ssDNA is not specific for SLE as they may be found in other diseases, including infectious mononucleosis (40%), autoimmune hepatitis (58%), acute myeloid leukemia (89%), acute lymphatic leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia (60%) and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (35-50%).
