Respiratory Multiple Test

The similar symptoms of respiratory diseases make it difficult to diagnose and differentiate these infections; respiratory disease multiple test kits can be used as an aid in the diagnosis and differentiation of these infections.

Respiratory disease multiple test kit

Respiratory Disease Multiple Test

One nasopharyngeal swab specimen, one-time specimen extraction; one multi-test device for the detection of various respiratory diseases; multiple testing results; all within about 15 minutes.

COVID-19, respiratory virus disease, adenovirus, mycoplasma pneumonia and influenza A/B are all infectious diseases with symptoms in the respiratory tracts. For these infections, many symptoms are similar, and it may be hard to discriminate which exact disease one has been infected. On the other hand, for different disease, in order to cure the infectious disease effectively, different medical administration measures should be taken, different medicines should be used depending what infection it exactly is. In other words, it is important to discriminate what respiratory disease one has been infected.

Atlas Link Technology Co., Ltd supplies various test kits which can help the diagnosis of all these respiratory diseases. In order to make it convenient to discriminate these infections, we combined different test strips in one single test kit, and it became respiratory disease multiple 2 test panel, and multiple 3, 4 and 5 test panels. Depending on what specific respiratory diseases are spreading in one community, we can decide how many parameter product we should use, and what parameters they should be. In this way, multiple tests will be performed with only one single specimen from the patient.

Performance of the test is limited to professional use. All these respiratory disease multiple test panels provide only preliminary testing results. The test kit cannot be used as the sole basis for treatment or other management decision. For in vitro diagnostic use only.

Respiratory Diseases

Atlas Link Technology Co., Ltd supplies respiratory multiple test kit, which can be used to diagnose any combination of the following diseases.

The pandemic of novel coronavirus disease is caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. The most common symptoms after infection include fever, cough, tiredness and loss of taste or smell. The popular variants lead global epidemics today are mainly Delta and Omicron strains.

Influenza (commonly known as ‘flu’) is a highly contagious, acute viral infection of the respiratory tract. Influenza A virus is more prevalent and is the primary pathogen associated with serious epidemics. Influenza B virus causes a disease that is generally not as severe as that caused by the type A virus.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), which causes infection of the lungs and breathing passages, is a major cause of respiratory illness in young children. In adults, it may only produce symptoms of a common cold, such as a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, mild headache, cough, fever, and a general feeling of being ill.

Human Adenovirus comprise an important group of etiologic agents that are responsible for various diseases in adults and children. Respiratory-tract disease ranges from mild upper-tract involvement, typically with nonspecific cold-like symptoms, to severe pneumonia.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae are bacteria that can cause illness by damaging the lining of the respiratory system (throat, lungs, windpipe). Thus, bacterial transmission from person to person by airborne droplets only occurs through close contact.

Warnings and Precautions

  1. For professional in vitro diagnostic use.
  2. To avoid erroneous results, instruction for use must be read completely before performing the test.
  3. When collecting a sample, use the swab supplied in the kit. Use of alternative swabs may result in false negative results.
  4. Do not touch the reaction area of test strip.
  5. Do not use test kit beyond the expiration date.
  6. Do not use the kit if the pouch is punctured or sealed not well.
  7. Handle all specimens as if they contain infectious agents. Observe established precautions.
  8. The test result should be interpreted by the physician along with clinical findings and other laboratory test results.
  9. Dispose of cassette and items in contact with samples as medical waste after use.
  10. Do not freeze the cassette or any other material.
  11. Viral Transport Media (VTM) may affect the test result, do not store specimens in viral transport media.
