HAV POCT Test Kit and HAV ELISA Kits

HAV IGM DOT Assay kit

HAV rapid test kits series that Atlas Link Technology Co., Ltd is supplying are several rapid test kits that used to detect IgG and/or IgM antibodies in human serum or plasma, which include HAV IgM rapid test cassette, HAV IgG est cassette, HAV IgG/IgM test cassette, HAV IgM Dot filtration Assay kit, and HAV IgG Dot filtration kit. All these POCT HAV test kits are easy to perform and there is no need of other reagents or instrument, because of this convenience, these test kits are suitable to be used on the point of care (POCT).

The HAV IgG rapid test takes as less as about 2-4 minutes to get the testing result, which makes it much easier to determine the immune status of individuals following exposure to HAV or to hepatitis A vaccine. Detection of HAV IgG in the absence of HAV IgM, indicates either a previous infection with HAV or a successful vaccination. In general, a titer of 10 IU/L HAV IGG is considered to represent the minimal concentration which indicates immunization of the individual.

On the other hand, HAV IgM ELISA and HAV IgG ELISA are used to detect IgM and IgG antibodies to hepatitis A infection in human serum specimen, and can be used in mass screening testing setting, such as hospital laboratories. Usually, for HAV ELISA kits, both 48-test and 96-Test kits are available.

Principle of HAV IgM Dot Assay Kit

HAV IGM DOT Assay Cassette

Take HAV IGM Dot assay kit as example. Hepatitis A virus specific immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibody is a specific serological marker for early diagnosis of hepatitis A. This HAV Dot filtration Assay test is based on the dot immunogold combination assay (DIGFA) principle, which was developed since 1989, and is a relatively new technique with the merit of simple and rapid immunological detection. With this HAV dot test cassette, we use the red colloidal gold particles to label the antibodies as indicator, and the millipore filtering membrane coated with antigen as the carrier. Affected by filtration speed and condensation of the HAV IgM antibody, the antigen-antibody reaction can happen rapidly.

When testing with this HAV cassette, add the serum sample to the Millipore membrane where HAAg is pre-coated, if there is HAV IgM antibody in the sample, the HAAg-anti-HAV IgM colloidal gold complex will emerge on the membrane as red dots which were visible to naked eyes. It takes about 2 to 4 minutes for the whole reaction to be carried out.

About Hepatitis A Infection

Hepatitis A is a strong infectious disease caused by HAV, it is spread generally having two means namely mouth and feces with strong infection characteristic. Hepatitis A is a prevalent disease in the human population, caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). Following a 14-40 day incubation period, HAV infection most commonly manifests itself by jaundice due to acute inflammation of the liver and subsequent elevated blood bilirubin concentrations.
